Scottish Athletics North District Championships - 12th-13th May 2023 - Inverness

Elgin Amateur Athletics Club had a brilliant two days of competing in Inverness.  Twenty-three of our athletes took part, with 63 performances.  There were 21 Gold Medals, 12 Silver Medals and 7 Bronze medals.

 

In addition there were Championship Best Performances for Jenna Gage in 70m Hurdles, Holy Whittaker in 75m Hurdles, Anna Reid in High Jump and also in Triple Jump. Also, three Club Records were broken.

 

A breakdown of the results:

U13G

Rowan Bain won Gold in Discus with a new PB, she won Silver in Shot Put with a new PB and also competed in 70m Hurdles, achieving a new PB.

Jenna Gage won Gold in 70mH with a Championship Best Performance  and new PB (time of 12.24), she won Silver in Long Jump and won Gold in Shot Put with a new PB. 

Caitlin Smith competed in 100m, 200m and Long Jump, achieving PBs in 100m and Long Jump.

 

U15G

Lillia Clarke won Silver in 200m with a new PB, she also won Gold in 300m with a new PB.

Ruby Ferguson competed in 100 and 200m, making it into both finals.

Gemma Forgie won Bronze in 75mH and Long Jump.  She won Silver in Triple Jump.

Holly Whittaker won three Golds, in 100m, 75m Hurdles and Long Jump.  Her time in 75mH was a Championship Best Performance, with a time of 11.78. Her time in 100m was a new PB.

 

U17W

Lauren Abbott won Gold in 200m (with a new PB) and Gold in 300m.  She also won Bronze in 100m with a new PB.

Ava Cruickshank won two Silvers and a Bronze.  She won silver in 100m (with a new PB) and also in Shot Put.  She won Bronze in 200m.

Lexi Grant won Gold in 80mH with a new PB, she won Gold in Long Jump with a new PB and she won Silver in Triple Jump.

Georgia Grant won Gold in Discus with a new PB.  She also won Bronze in Long Jump.

Anna Reid won Gold in High Jump with a jump of 1m 66cm – a Championship Best Performance and also a new Club Record. She also won Gold in Triple Jump with a jump of  11.35m  - a Championship Best Performance which was also a Club Record and she won Silver in Long Jump.

Kathryn Petrie won Bronze in High Jump  and set a new PB.  She placed 4th in Long Jump.

Iris Whitton won Silver in 80m Hurdles and made it into the final of the 100m with a new PB.

 

U13B

Quentin Fowlie won Gold in 100m with a new PB and Gold in Shot Put with a new PB.

Austin Richardson competed in 100m, 200m and Shot Put.  He placed 5th in in the 100m final. He achieved new PBs in 200m and Shot Put.

 

U15B

Archie Smith won Gold in Long Jump with a new PB and also won Gold in Triple Jump with a new PB.

Blair Thomson placed 4th in the 100m final.

 

U17M

Alexander Hendry competed in 200m.

Andrew Lumsden won Gold in Triple Jump with a new PB. He won Silver in Long Jump with a new PB and also competed in 200m, making it to the final.

Ruaridh MacKenzie-Copp won silver in Javelin with a new PB, he won Bronze in 400m and also competed in 200m, making it to the final.

 

 

U20M

Tom Palmer won Silver in 400m and also won Gold in 400mH with a new PB.   

Roy Taylor won Gold in 800m, setting a new Club Record for U20M.
