When looking for spikes for your young athlete, please ask advice from your coach / other members. We are always here to help. We have some spikes (used) which can be borrowed to try. It can be quite a tricky field to navigate for beginners.  There are all different kinds of spikes for distance, sprinting, jumping, javelin etc.

This website usually has a good selection and reasonable prices if you are looking to buy spikes:

Athlete Participation Policy  - Currently Under Review  (in light of new membership forms going out in May 2023 - to be updated after the next Board Meeting)

This policy is in place to help the club to run in way that we are able to give as many people as possible the chance to take part with EAAC. We are in a fortunate position to have an enormous waiting list, and if we can help local young people to enjoy athletics we will do that.

- If a member fails to show up 5 sessions in a row we will send you an email to remind you of this policy.

- If there are suitable reasons for missing our sessions then we will take that into account and extend the period before contacting you again. You should contact us with these reasons.

 - After 7 missed sessions, another potential athlete will be invited into the club to take your place.  After discussion, there may be an opportunity for you to 'fill up' spaces on a last minute basis at training if a group is not full on that particular evening.
