January 2022

January has been a very busy month with three trips to the emirates Arena.
Cross Country
Roy and Tom have been selected to represent Team North at the Inter-District XC Champs. Unfortunately Tom was unwell but Roy put in a good shift finishing 19th.
Track and Field
National Combined Events and Relay Champs
Tom and Dean took part in their first Combined events and put in a brilliant effort with PBs, club records and brilliant fun.
Dean managed 6th place with 3434 points clocking up four PBs for events he has never done, bettering 1 PB, and setting 1 Club Record.
Tom managed 6th place also with 2748 points clocking up 2 PBs for events never done before, bettering 3 PBs, beating 1 Club Record and setting one more.
Also well done to Archie and William from Nairn, and Alister and Stroma from Inverness. William and Stroma won their age groups. The North didn’t have many numbers but quality was high.
Brilliant effort and a brilliant trip, finished off with enormous ice creams and tree dodging on the way home.
Ava, Evie, Lauren and Lexi also travelled to the Emirates Arena to race together across 4x200m Relay. Despite running really well and breaking a Club Record set in the early 2000s, they were just half a second short of making the final.
U17/Sen National Champs
Well done to Georia, Niamh & Alexander yesterday in the U17 national champs a good day with great experience for everyone 👍😁🏃🏻♂️🏃♀️
Aberdeen Open Graded
Last weekend in Glasgow we only managed 5 PBs but back on form this weekend in Aberdeen with 14 and Andrew improving his Club record over 60m.
Well done crew and well done to parents and coaches for help and support.
Indoor National Open
A very early start, long day but brilliant fun with lots of good performances, smiles and spirit
