Scottish Secondary Schools Athletics Championships- 10/11th June - Grangemouth

A very exciting few days were had by the EAAC Athletes in Grangemouth. They faced really tough competition from all over Scotland. In amongst such a competitive field they shone so brightly.
Lillia, Iris, Ava, Brooke, Evie, Lauren and Tamsin represented Elgin Academy. This group are no strangers to Grangemouth as four of them recently represented Elgin Academy in the National Secondary Schools relay Championship securing bronze. This weekend Lillia qualified for the semi final in 200m, Ava qualified for the final in 200m finishing 7th overall. Evie competed well in 800m. Iris came 4th in Shot Put and secured a silver medal in 75mH. Brooke competed in 100m against a huge field of athletes. Lauren won Gold in 300m. Tamsin finished 4th in 100m and won Gold in 200m.
Lexi and Holly represented Elgin High School. Lexi finished 4th in her group for 75mH and secured Silver in Long Jump with a PB of 5m12. Holly won a double Gold in Long Jump (with a new PB of 5.27m) and also in 75mH where she not only broke a Championship Record but also received a trophy for Best Female Hurdler of the Day.
Eilidh represented Speyside High School, competing well to come 5th in High Jump.
Tom represented Keith Grammar School. Tom won Bronze in 400mH and Silver in 100mH.
Andrew represented Lossiemouth High School. Andrew finished 10th in Long Jump and secured a Silver medal in 300m.
