3rd April: Central Athletics Club Pre Season Meet - Grangemouth
Eleven athletes, keen to start the season, made the long journey down to Grangemouth for the Central Athletics Pre Season Meet. It was a cold and windy day but that didn't stop them.
U13G:
Gemma, Eilidh and Jenna competed in some of the following events: 70mH, 200m,800m, Long Jump and High Jump. Jenna and Eilidh achieved new PBs in the 70mH, Eilidh achieved a new PB in the 200m sprint.
U15G
Holly, Iris, Ava and Evie competed in some of the following events: 75mH, 100m, 200m, 800m and Lomg Jump. Ava achieved a new PB in the 100m. Holly achieved a new PB in the 200m. Iris achieved a new PB in the 75mH. Iris and Evie achieved new PBs in the Long Jump. Evie was utterly delighted to achive a new PB in the 800m.
U15M
Ruaridh, and Andrew represented Elgin AAC in some of the following events: 100m, 200m,300m, Long Jump and Javelin. Andrew achieved PBs in each of his events. ( Long Jump, 100m and Javelin). Ruaridh achieved a new PB in 100m.
U17M
Tom and Alexander represented EAAC in some of the following events: 100m, 100mH, 200m, 400mH and Long Jump. Tom achieved a PB in the 100mH. Alexander achieved a PB in the 200m.
All the supporting parents and coaches were so proud of the athletes, their team spirit and enthusiasm is infectious!
SA Jumps and Throws - 16th April 2022
On the 16th April, 3 athletes competed in the SA Jumps and Throws GP in Inverness.
Tom represented Elgin in U17M Triple Jump and Long Jump.
Lexi represented Elgin in U15G Triple Jump and Long Jump, achieving a new PB in Long Jump.
Rowan represented Elgin in U13G High Jump and Long Jump, achieving an new PB in both events!
Spring Graded Open in Aberdeen - 17th April 2022
Holly and Iris attended the Spring Open Graded in Aberdeen, held by AAAC.
Holly competed in the 75mH, 300m and Shotputt. She achiedved a new PB in the shotputt and also in 300m sprint.
EAAC Open Meet Inverness (Track only) - 24th April
Elgin hosted an Open meet in Inverness on a cold April day. There was a strong turnout of competing athletes and it was wonderful to see the stands, once again, full of cheering and enthusiastic supporters.
Clubs represented included: Ross County AAC, Inverness Harriers, East Sutherland AAC, Peterhead AAC, Nairn AAC, Banchory and Stonehaven AAC, Lochaber AAC, Aberdeen AAC, Stornaway Running and AAC as well as the hosts Elgin.
U13G
Eilidh, Rowan, Gemma and Sylvie-May represented Elgin. Gemma achieved new PBs in 75mH and 200m. Sylvie-May achieved a new 100m PB.
U13B
Quentin and Ted represented Elgin. Ted achieved a new 200m PB
U15G
Evie, Anna, Lillia, Holly, Ava, Lauren, Lexi and Iris represented Elgin. There were new PBs for Lillia and Anna in the 200m sprint. A new PB for Anna in the 100m sprint. Lexi and Iris achieved a new PB in the 75mH.
U15M
Andrew and Ruaridh represented Elgin. There was a new PB for Andrew in the 200m and a new PB for Ruaridh in the 100m.
U17G
Niamh represented Elgin in the 100m,200m and 300m.
U17M
Tom, Roy and Alexander represented Elgin. Tom achieved a new PB in the 400mH. Alexander achieved new PBs in the 100m and 200m.
U20M
Kyle and Scott represented Elgin. Scott achieved new PBs in 200m and also 400m.
SM
Andrew represented Elgin in the 100m and 200m sprint.
M60
Malcolm represented Elgin in the 3000m.
Another well organised and enjoyable event hosted by Elgin AAC. A great day was had by all. A club record (held since 2006) was broken by the U15G 4x100m relay team! Great work girls!
