North Area Trophy 2024

North Area was back for 2024 on Saturday 31st September. Another great competition to round off the outdoor season, we were met with sun, smiley faces, and the infectious Elgin team spirit. Elgin had 3 new members to add to our competitive roster and had some incredible performances after what has been a long season. We had an incredible 30 personal bests, and 24 medals handed out to our dedicated and hardworking team of athletes. What a way to round off the season!
Before we start on the results, we would like to say a massive thank you to all our volunteers this weekend!
Thank you to our Officials, including those from EAAC – without you, this event could not have gone ahead.
Thank you to our parents who manned our declarations desk and the tuck-shop all day, a very valuable and underrated job.
Thank you to those who spent time baking, cooking, and buying bits and bobs to make sure our Officials and attendees were fed and watered.
Thank you to our friends at Inverness Harriers for providing back-up support on the field, track, and in the back office catering our results.
Thank you to our senior athletes for taking the time to MC the results desk – you all did an amazing job under the pressure, and I can see commentating in (most) of your futures!
