Scottish Schools 2024 - 1st, 7th and 8th June

5 Elgin AAC athletes travelled to Grangemouth to represent their schools over the course of two weekends in the outdoor Scottish School's meet.
Our athletes took home 5 medals, 4 PB's, and fantastic performances all round! Well done to all of you!
- Tom: Scored a hat-trick of medals in what will be his last Scottish School's event. Gold in the 400mH with a time of 59:57, Silver in the 110mH with a PB time of 15.72 and Bronze in the 2000m steeplechase in 7:07.07, another PB.
- Lexi: Lexi powered her way through a minor injury to compete in the long jump, with a distance of 4.93m and 4th in the triple jump with a distance of 10.42m.
- Lauren: Silver for Lauren in the 300m with a time of 71.71, also coming back after a small injury, and reached the semi-finals in the hotly contested 200m with a time of 26.68.
- Andrew: Gold in the triple jump with a distance of 13.08, a wind-assisted PB. Another PB in the long jump with a jump of 5.80m and rounding of the weekend for Andrew with a 24.95 in the 200m.
- Quentin: A first-timer in Scottish School's for Quentin, taking home a 200m PB of 27.50 and a throw of 7.97m in the shot put.
